JASON PARTRIDGE IS A SWEET BOURBON DADDY. LIKE ANY WOBBLY, ON OCCASION, HE MIGHT HAVE SNIFFED TOO MANY EGGS AND DRUNK TOO MANY KEGS, POSSIBLY EVEN BEEN READY FOR THE BROOM, BUT YOU'D BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A TCMABL PLAYER WITH A NIGHT LIKE THIS:
4-4, BB, 2 2B, 2R, 3RBI
9IP, CG, W, 7H, 2ER, 5K, 2BB, STATUE-HBP, HALF THE HITS COMING AFTER WE MADE A BUNCH OF ERRORS.
∫That's pretty good, he's one of our Red Stars for a reason, and he did it against a team designed to outslug anyone (as we've found previously when we scored 20 runs and lost...). The thing is, it runs the risk of overshadowing the dyno-nite of other Wobblies, including an inning in which Sam Timmerich, Brother Alm and Big Pete Bodourtha all hit doubles (including back to back), the debut of another future stud Wobbly outfielder in Chris Gustafson and a 3-4 Gigs night, which would be a big deal if we didn't expect it after 17 years of similar ho-hum Gigs. When he goes 4-3, we'll be impressed. To top it off, our other Red Star, Aaron Baumgartner caught surefire double at the fence in right center that raised the question: "where the hell did he come from?"
