Jerry Alcazar With 3 Hits As Bulldogs TCMABL 2025 Beat Avengers

Jerry Alcazar collected three hits in four at-bats, as the Bulldogs defeated the Avengers 12-6 on Sunday at Lighted Field. Alcazar singled in the first inning, the sixth, and the seventh.
The Bulldogs won thanks in part to 11 runs in the seventh inning. Dan Malvin singled, scoring two runs, Alcazar singled, scoring two runs, Armando Santiago Toledo grounded out, scoring one run, Jose Yelvin García drew a walk, scoring one run, Broderick Larson doubled, scoring two runs, Sean Kelly singled, scoring one run, and Matt Bailey singled, scoring two runs.
The Avengers opened the scoring in the second after #2 singled, scoring one run. They added one run in the third after #17 singled to right field.
Brian Imperiale stepped on the mound first for the Bulldogs. The lefty surrendered four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out two and walking none. #5 began the game for the Avengers. The hurler gave up four hits and one run over six innings, striking out seven and walking two. Larson and Manny Lopez each appeared in relief for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs amassed 10 hits in the game. Larson, Alcazar, Bailey, and Malvin each drove in two runs for the Bulldogs. Yelvin García paced the Bulldogs with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Adam Schenck and Yelvin García each stole multiple bases. The Bulldogs stole eight bases in the game and turned two double plays.
The Avengers collected 12 hits in the game. #2, Avengers's number seven hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. #6, #11, #2, #17, and Jake each drove in one run for the Avengers.
The Bulldogs welcome the Hounds on Sunday for their next game.
