Rick Dube, who'd spent Saturday sitting by the fire with a busted nose and looking like the Wobblies' manager's favorite Twin Peaks character, Albert Rosenfield after taking a comebacker to the face the day before, pitched 6 innings of 2 hit baseball before turning into a full body charley-horse.
Albert or Rick? That's easy, Rick doesn't own a tie.
Just when the game seemed in the bag, the Knights scored six runs in the 7th inning to draw the score to 8-7. The Wobblies got a couple more runs in the top of the 8th, but the 'High Voltage Messiah' made his appearance between innings, ruining the fun for everyone and those runs were wiped out. We don't like to win that way, but we also don't want to get hit by lightning, damned if you do, dead if you don't.
