About the Bats
2021 Diablos

After roughly two decades playing in Liga Latina de Beisbol Minnesota and ALAB, the Diablos picked up a sponsorship from the Battalion Bat company of St. Paul and moved to the 18+ TCMABL for the 2021 season, where we competed in the National Division and earned a playoff spot in our first season.

The 2022 season featured a number of notable departures and significant additions to the roster. Despite a strong start, the Diablos went cold down the stretch, failing to close out numerous games we led in, ultimately squandering an opportuity to advance to the playoffs. Despite the disappointing finish, the season featured many impresive perfomances by individual players, including CF Luke Newton's 33 SBs and .532 OBP, Brandon DeGroot's 4 doubles, a .377 BA by rookie Colt Wyman, a pair of shutout starts by P Nick Nelson, 37 K's by Kyle Goodwin in just 29.2 innings, and a pair of complete games by P Paul Draper prior to a gut-wrenching arm injury ended his season prematurely.

2023 Marks a new chaper in the club's history, as we adopt a new name and uniform set as the Battalion Bats. With the majority of our veteran roster returning, the Bats look to take a leap forward, get back to the top of the standings, and make a strong playoff run.
