Teams -

 

There was some confusion in the first weekend regarding the rates for regular season umpires.  I spoke with Marc Fiorvanti this week -- he and I confirmed the current rates below (Note: effective through next season 2015 also).  Here is a summary for each division:

 

18+ Division -- $85 per 7-inning game ($170 total for a doubleheader).  Each team pays the umpire $85 per Sunday at the field.

 

28+ Division -- $100 per 9-inning game.  The two teams split with each team paying the umpire $50 per Sunday at the field.

 

If you underpaid an umpire during Week 1, then please be honest if you see that umpire again this season and pay the extra $5-10 that you may have underpaid in Week 1.  Going forward, please pay the correct rates above. 

 

Also, please remember it is a league policy for teams to pay umpires BEFORE the game(s).  A good time to handle this is at the pre-game manager's meeting at home plate.
