The new divisions were drafted yesterday for the 18 & 28 Plus Leagues at the winter meeting. Three clubs folded, the A's, Phoenix and the Black Sox, and we thank them for their years of competitive play and helping better our league over the years.

 

Three new teams joined, the Bulldogs - are an expansion club - while the Pinnacle and the Piranhas moved up from the 18 Plus League to 28 Plus. The Yankees switched management and changed to the Lake Monsters and the Expos became the Krunch. Here is a final breakdown of the new 2014 Divisions.

 

18 PLUS

American:

Bombers, Cardinals, Coyotes, Cyclones, Krunch, North Stars, Rays, Sea Donkeys, Tigers

 

National:

Blizzard, Diamond Kings, Ducks, Giants, Indians, Orioles, Reds, Snappers, Twins

 

28 PLUS

American:

Grays, Lake Monsters, Mavericks, Nationals, NE Nine, NLB, Pinnacle, Rebyls, Skeeters, Voyageurs, Wobblies

 

National:

Braves, Bulldogs, Cubs, Dodgers, Generals, Knights, Mets, Muskies, Padres, Piranhas, Red Sox

 

 

Should make for a tight summer in the 18 Plus, where every game counts and a wide open race in the 28 Plus with the expansion of new teams. Good luck to all teams this season.
