The show is eight is enough. Yet there are ten of them...? The Irish almost found themselves in a simular situation. While 8 is enough to be legal, it is far from ideal. On game day the we had 9. Rumors are there may have been a few more than disapointed spouses and significant others. The Irish in attendance promised to make it up by not playing the following weekend. Ive played TCMABL 28+ since 2007 and my wife still forgets what time i play on Sundays. So yeah it will work.

On to the good stuff, the game.

His name is Pete Harrell. Going 5-6 with a 2B and HR. Some RBIs a few runs and playing solid in LF. Yeah hes good. It would be easy to end there. The game started off with Lindser and an opening 2B. Setting an all to familar tone for the Irish. Get on the board, and quick. After the top three in the batting order; Stark and Heezen combined to go 8-12. There were no safe spots. Eveyone on the Irish reached safely at least once. Stark and JB manned the mound guided by Swierczek. Leading to an 11-6 W, now 2-0 overall.

The Piranhas gave the Irish all they could handle. Striking out a combined 12 Irish, hitting a bomb of their own while playing a clean game. Always a fun game against a great group of guys. We'll see them again. Thats how the schedule worked out, July 24th to be exact.

Enjoy your memorial weekend. The Irish return to face the Isotopes June 5th.

The Irish post two of the top AVG in the 28+ division, Keep it up Pete and Ben.

OPENING DAY 2022

The gang was back again. A few missing faces, there is plenty of time to remedy that issue. Hold tight if you did not see your favorite Irish from last year. We welcomed one newcome, new guy... he was the young kid that still had the life of youth in his game. Center field guy, later pitched. Hits the ball hard. Grant it was Grant. I'm positive. Welcome to the team, Grant.

Much like last year; The Irish, today it was Pete, started the game off with a solid contact single, giving way to the heart of the order. A slew of lefties. Building a 3-0 lead  in the first half inning. Cover started the game on the mound and never let the Avengers get comfortable. Grant and JB followed all taking cues from tKlap. Playing a solid game, with some well placed chip shots, the Irish ended the game in seven, 14-4.

Opening day has come and gone. It is on to week two before the Holiday week off in this rare 2 game before memorial schedule. The Irish take on the undefeated Piranhas. Same time as always. Kohler Meadows Field. Come out and cheer for your favorite Irish, or for Ben.

It was a long time coming. Baseball, TCMABL, had its opening weekend. This opening day was one unlike any other for members of newly formed Irish.

What began as a freshmen orientation ice breaker introduction later turned into a baseball game. The Lake Mosters gave the Irish several swift well timed jabs followed by a monster uppercut that landed in a nearby softball field beyond the baseballs' left field. The Irish found themselves down 0-7 and looking for the reset button. The bad thing about new teams is everyone is feeling the game out, positions, batting order and getting everything sorted. The good thing about new teams is everyone is out to prove themselves. The Irish began on the latter. The hitting found itself, fielding and pitching settled in and in the end the Irish came back to win 8-7.

At the end of the ice breaker. Nothing breaks the ice better than a W. The Irish found that everyone has an opinion on moneyball, the Wild's cup chance, the Twins bullpen, hunting locations, beer choice, the new sports card boom and several other casual topics. A good, nah, great first weekend of baseball. The Irish look to settle into a team and continue putting up W's and having fun.

The Isotopes are up next. 5PM NEAF.
